A month ago, Pürplast was present at Busworld Kortrijk 2013, the most important trade fair in the area of collective transport in Europe. Pürplast was exhibiting parts of new model "Jest”, the Karsan minibus. In Turkey, the minibus is a popular and widespread means of transport. Called "dolmus” in Turkish, this kind of vehicle is useful for short travel within city or used to transport employees to their workplace. The minibus market is a significant and highly competitive place for suppliers, where Pürplast can only stand out with ongoing innovation and the quality of its materials. Known as a well-established supplier of polyurethane on the market of Bus and Coach since decades, Pürplast has expanded its range and launched production of pDCPD parts with impressive speed. For the Jest model, the entire rear and front masks from bumper to roof were produced in Telene® series 1700. These two sets of parts are the first ones produced by Pürplast using Telene®
"The main processing in our company was polyurethane since 1981. After 30 years of experience in the automotive business, we would like to increase the scale of our products and process portfolio with innovative technologies.
The yearly production series--average 1000-10000 parts--match very well with pDCPD from the point of the tooling cost and unit price level. We think that Telene® is a good process for exterior applications where we would like to increase our market share. With full support of the TELENE team today we are producing various parts with very high physical properties, A class surface quality in a short period with competitive prices.'" says Mehmet SISMANOGLU, CEO of PURPLAST.
