As are all polymers, Telene® is subject to aging. Oxygen (and oxidants), as well as UV radiation, can speed up the process. With age, rigidity and heat resistance will increase. Impact resistance will decrease. In all cases, a plateau will be reached and the process will stop : the modified surface layer will protect from deeper propagation. In all of our FEA studies, this phenomenon is taken into account in order to build a safe, long-lasting part.
